Journey's End Animal Sanctuary provides lifetime
care and shelter for dogs, cats, horses, pigs,
sheep, and birds that have been abused,
neglected or have special needs.

Rather than emphasizing adoption, Journey's End
provides a homelike setting where animals can
enjoy the remainder of their lives
in a comfortable, loving atmosphere.

Cheryl Robel read an artical entitled "Truth About
Cats and Dogs" on 8/6/2000 and knew she had
just realized her calling in life.

In 2009 Volusia County alone euthanized over
22,000 animals. This is an unacceptable number.

Through the efforts of Cheryl and Pat Mihalic,
something is finally being done to turn the tide.
Little by little they are fighting to have mandatory
spay and neuter laws passed, and they don't stop
when the laws are passed. Enforcing them is
critical and they make sure that they bring
violators to the attention of the authroities.

"You can't fix stupid" Cheryl is often heard to say,
but they are trying.
